Tammy and David Traeger were a married guitar-duo
from Northeast Georgia and Texas .
Both former professional musicians,
David played guitar for bands in Madrid, Spain and around Austin after returning to Texas;
Tammy fronted a rock band
outside Athens, Georgia for many years.
The two later met at an open mic, fell madly in love
and made music together until David's untimely death
on September 26, 2025.
Writing original songs was a collaboration
of Tammy and David's years as musicians and singers.
When performing their versions of popular songs, they simplified complex arrangements to suit two guitars
and added personal touches to well-known tunes.
David's talents as a musician, arranger, and acoustic engineer were critical to the duo's unique sound and the absolute fun they enjoyed while playing together.
Artists whom Tammy and David covered included
Fleetwood Mac, Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert,
Emmylou Harris, The Eagles, Blackberry Smoke,
Linda Ronstadt, John Prine and many others.
Their original music blended the sounds of
rock, country and Americana
with lyrics reflecting universal themes
and common experiences.
